Thought I'd begin here, but not necessarily at the beginning (way too far back to remember anyway).
I've often wondered about the effects that having a blog might wreak on my business side of life. I guess as long as I don't wander too far off the beaten path it should probably be OK. I'm definitely not going to set the world on fire with my radicalism in any event.
I guess if there has to be some existential starting point that got me going on this, it would have to point back to my son, Andy. (http://andy-moore.blogspot.com/) He was working on an idea for a possible psychology thesis a while back and asked several family members about their computing and internet habits and interests.
I've been involved in computers and the internet since the mid-80's when I got trained on how to repair computers by the company I worked for at the time. It's been a long love affair with all things computing since I first cracked open the cases of my initial IBM desktop. However, up until this point I've never opened a blog of my own. Hey - you gotta start somewhere, right?
Anyway, bringing this up to current times in a hurry, I just thought it might be interesting to see what - if anything - would actually happen if I used the modern-day equivalent of a diary and thought out loud for a while. Might surprise me, then again, it might just be another time waster when I could be doing something productive that my long-suffering, computer-widow wife would rather me do. Kinda like right now - I'm supposed to be giving the dog a bath instead of beating this keyboard. Ah well, such is life.

Love,
Gabriele
hey, looky here, my dad's a blogger! welcome! (a side bonus is that you have another excuse to utilize more google stuff; something i always enjoy. speaking of, have you downloaded Chrome yet?)
so, uh, how 'bout this hurricane, eh?
Thanks. Ought to be interesting. I did try Chrome, but it really didn't impress me all that much. I'm sure it will improve as time and add-ins come along. I actually like
Firefox 3 better at the moment - and it works with all my stuff at work. Chrome still isn't recognized correctly and so most of my business stuff drives it haywire.
